jack takes a look around dodging glances in the alley way making his way to the local pub... well the only one pirates know about that is.
"bloody hell... i know its around here somewhere..." he began poking miscellaneous stones "bugga bugga bugga... was it stones?" he sways back and ponders " or was it the floor" jack stares down at the floor for a second, and begins jumping up and down on the floor as if he held a grudge against the floor with slight anger in his grunting.
he sighs and leans against the wall. "bugga"

Walks down the narrow alley fumbling with the solid gold locket she was given by her mother on the day those men came to her parents' door. She runs her fingers over its smooth metal surface carefully, hoping someone here may be able to give her the information she so desperately desired. She hears the familiar cursing of her captain and stops, startled for a moment. She rounds the corner and her eyes fall on Jack, poking about "something you be missing, my captain?"

The dark waves roll as it pushes a small row boat onto the sandy shore. A soaking wet, James Norrington steps out of the boat and weakly walks up the beach. He looks up towards to the lights of the town he lived in not so long ago. However, he did not return here to get his old position back...again. No, he needs to find a ship that will take him to Tortuga. He's got a certain Captain to find.

He wearily walks along the docks and manages to find someone who's willing to barter passage. Luckily, James finds a few coins in his pocket. Just enough for the trip.
The ship heads for Tortuga.

Ship docks. James gets off the ship and asks a shifty sort if they've seen Jack Sparrow. They point him in the right direction. James sees the infamous Captain, he'd been looking for. So as not to startle him too much, he slowly approaches Jack before calling.
"well, well, well. It has been some time hasn't it, Sparrow?" James continues to advance towards Jack.

Jacks eyes shuffle from james and her. and takes a few steps back.
"you look just as bloody awful as ever mate, not as flashy as recall..."looks james up and down, and pauses. "but your eyes seem to have seen some interesting things, pray tell...." jack said with not the slightest of interest but knows it will come poring out of his bloody load mouth anyway.

Was about to tell the captain a complicated lie, but is relieved by James' interruption. Her attention shifts to James as she contradicts Jack, her Russian accent laced with tones of seduction "I think you look better this way, James. More manly..." She walks towards him and places a hand on his sword, leaning down to run her hand over it gently in examination. "This new? I recall the your other sword be smaller, more decorative." She then stands back up straight to gaze into his eyes. "My captain be correct, eyes have story to tell."

James quirks an eyebrow at her, but turns attention back towards Jack. "Well, after I helped Elizabeth and the others from the Flying Dutchman, I was planning on joining them and leaving the Royal Navy for good. Unfortunately, a sailor on the ship ran me through. I lost my sword piercing Davy Jones, but to obviously no effect." Takes a moment to recall his last act of heroism.
"Anyway" he continued. "I woke up on a small rowboat in the middle of a black ocean surrounded by countless other boats of people. I travelled on, not sure of my destination when suddenly, I spotted Mr. Turner commanding the Flying Dutchman. I rowed over and asked him everything. 'Where am I?' and 'how do I get back?' He explained that the next time the sunsets, I must flip over my boat and I'll be transported back to the living on something he called...the green flash I believe." James scoffs. "At first I thought he was merely mocking me, but sure enough, here I am."
James motions at his new sword. "I'm sad to say that this sword I now carry wasn't...exactly paid for. More in the terms of borrowing with no sense of returning."

"I'm ending my life serving as a naval officer. It's lead to nothing, but cruelty and deceit." James says sounding almost ashamed. "So, I figured...perhaps if anyone can teach me about the life of...piracy...you'd be the one to look for, Sparrow."

Looks at him through a coy smile "I thought it looked familiar, anyway, be good to see you again. I must go now, but I hope our paths cross again." She leaves him with a soft hand against his cheek as she slinks off into the darkness towards the tavern, leaving him and Jack alone.

"Who's your friend?" James gives Jack that 'you're so typical' look. "Another woman fallen pray to your 'charms'?"

Ivy strolls forward from an alleyway nearby, glancing between Jack and the rest. Shaking out her long hair she teased her fingertips over the barrel of her pistol and raised a brow. "Oy, we have a problem?" She placed her hand on Jack's shoulder and grinned mischievously at the other two.
